On her first day of class, Aisha Bah couldn’t even get past the computer’s login screen. She’d never had a computer before. Next week, the Liberian native—who recently completed an internship with IBM in New York—will cross the stage to receive her bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Bah is one of 2,912 Roadrunners who will receive their degrees next week. She joins the 2,267 graduates who will earn their bachelor’s degree. Another 587 will receive their master’s degrees. Rounding out this year’s graduating class are 58 students who have earned their Ph.D.

James Kirkendoll is among those who has earned a graduate degree. The Bexar County deputy will receive his M.S. in criminology and criminal justice. His family—his wife, two kids and a baby on the way—will be cheering him on as he crosses the stage.

UTSA will hold two Commencement ceremonies on December 13 at the Alamodome. Graduates of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the College of Sciences—including Bah—and graduates like Kirkendoll from the College for Health, Community and Policy will cross the stage during the first ceremony at 10 a.m. Graduates of the Carlos Alvarez College of Business, University College, the College of Education and Human Development and the Margie and Bill Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design will receive their degrees during the second ceremony at 3 p.m.

The following is a breakdown of fall 2022 graduates by each college.

• Alvarez College of Business: 837 (619 bachelor’s; 215 master’s; 3 doctoral)
• College of Education and Human Development: 281 (149 bachelor’s; 116 master’s; 16 doctoral)
• Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design: 288 (225 bachelor’s; 47 master’s; 16 doctoral)
• College for Health, Community and Policy: 643 (533 bachelor’s; 101 master’s; 9 doctoral)
• College of Liberal and Fine Arts: 367 (314 bachelor’s; 51 master’s; 2 doctoral)
• College of Sciences: 438 (368 bachelor’s, 58 master’s, 12 doctoral)
• University College: 59 (all bachelor’s)

Alamodome doors will open at 8 a.m. for the first Commencement ceremony and 2 p.m. for the second ceremony. Each event is expected to be two-and-a-half hours in length. No tickets are required and there will be open seating and handicapped seating for guests.
